This week my two good friends that are here this summer are gone, and I am in a separate hall from anyone else I know so I'm pretty much all alone. I've got to the point where I'm looking for things to do, so I will most likely have one or two portraits to add in the next few days.

Also my boss put me in charge of drawing a map of my school in the style of the Marauder's Map from the Harry Potter series. So I'll make sure to put that up here too.

I forgot I had this page until someone asked me recently for a sample of some artwork and then I realized I should start keeping this up to date for real.

I am going through my files and uploading my new art, I sent some home but I will get pictures this weekend and put them up Sunday or Monday.

To see everything, check out my gallery tab. Here's my newest addition:

So far summer has been good. I haven't done much art but that's because I've been busy. I have been inspired for a new series of paintings. Inspired by Lady Gaga's new song "Princess Die". The song is very sad and powerful and it's inspired me to make a series of paintings! So hopefully I can get those started soon. Photography wise, I just put up all of what I have done so far. As an amateur in photography, there isn't much and it's not the best. But it will keep getting better!

On the 22nd I am headed to Colorado, which I have never been before (that I remember). I will be taking a lot of pictures and hopefully some artsy ones in addition to the touristy ones. It will be a fun week!

Hopefully going to get the art I did at school uploaded soon.

Added art from this summer, also redid the page

The trading card assignment

So our long project was to get to doing a watercolor portrait. So we started small and easy and worked our way to painting a watercolor self portrait. This gallery WILL have all of the steps to this project when I get them all uploaded, but for now you can at least see the graphite and water color self portraits. (The apples were also part of this, but that's already up so I won't include it.)

Apples, done in watercolor (hence the name). Worked a lot on layering color to get the living skin effect and making the apples look realistic. I'm pretty dang proud of this. Best watercolor I've done.

I've done two perspective drawings. A one point perspective drawing, and a two-point. I did both in pencil and used a ruler to get the lines straight and make the lines disappear to the vanishing point(s) correctly.
